What does Woking Need in the future? Your help required

Woking Borough Council has recently launched a consultation asking residents, business and stakeholders for their priorities and vision for Woking in 2044, as part of development of a new Local Plan for the borough.

The Local Plan is the borough’s blueprint for development over the next 15 to 20 years. It sets out how land will be used, what gets built where, including homes, jobs and infrastructure, whilst protecting what matters most.

This marks the first formal stage of public engagement under Regulation 18 of the Town and Country Planning Act. Once adopted, the Local Plan will guide planning decisions until 2044.
